Steve has led marketing and product management teams at six different SaaS and cloud providers including several that experienced hypergrowth, filed IPOs, and reached billion dollar valuations.
Experience
Across the span of his 20-year career, Steve has worked at SaaS, cloud, fintech, and marketplace companies that ranged in size from $2m to $2b in annual revenues. He has built challenger brands and scaled up lead generation at venture-backed, early-stage startups. Steve has run global marketing, product management, and channel partner teams at large, publicly traded companies. And he has led turnarounds and digitally transformed marketing programs at private-equity-owned companies.
Active in a number of online communities, Steve is an Ambassador for the CMO Alliance and a Customer Advisory Board Member for the Future of SaaS. He also mentors aspiring CMOs, advises startup entrepreneurs and serves as a board member on an early-stage venture.
Steve has lived all over the world, but currently resides in the Washington DC area with his wife and three children.

Steve Keifer is the author of Bantrr, a blog site in which he shares best practices on topics ranging from category creation and business model strategy to brand development and demand generation. He also hosts a podcast on recurring revenue titled Capitalism’s Favorite Business Model and a LinkedIn newsletter called Go-to-Market Trajectory. Earlier in his career, Steve published a book on the Information Supply Chain in which he chronicled how businesses in the retail, healthcare, and financial services sectors adopted B2B e-commerce technologies.
